Yes, really. The secret ingredient to the perfect mid-day nap is our old friend coffee. But employed in a way that might surprise you.
Lede
Open with an amazing fact or startling statement that arouses reader interest. Adelphi University students spend an average of seven hours per day surfing the Internet.
“Clones! Or am I seeing double? Hey,are you guys related?” Junior twins Andrew and Doug Overtonsay dealing with “lame” jokes is just one ofthe disadvantages of going through life asa twin. But they admit there are plenty ofadvantages, too.
Using a narrative style, begin by introducing the main characters, the conflict and perhaps the setting of the story.• Make readers feel the drama and want to know what’s going to happen next.• Identification of people can be postponed until a later paragraph to avoid disrupting the flow of the lede.

A 31,000 square foot data center is coming to the city and will bring jobs, tax revenue, and possible even international corporations like Twitter and Facebook.
Developer PointOne broke ground on their data center today, with the help of city and state officials.
The $80 million project called NAP of Virginia Beach is part of an aggressive campaign by the city to diversify its business landscape, an effort that currently focuses on various tech industries.
PointOne says it will be the “industry leading data center and cable landing station campus,” where for their part they’ll house two 20,000 square feet facilities with a total of 9.6 Megawatts of critical power load. The buildings will be right across the street from the fastest undersea cables in the world, themselves newcomers to The Beach, MAREA and BRUSA.
Construction is expected to be completed in 2020, and Phase One of the facility is expected to deliver 1.2 Megawatts in the summer of that year.
The city is also prioritizing biotech and medtech, with the building of its medtech park, and other efforts like the VABeachBio initiative, that offers mentorship, entrepreneurial training, and prize money to 20 select startup applicants. Through these efforts and with a full seventy percent of the world’s internet traffic already routing through the state of Virginia, Virginia Beach is positioning itself to be a key tech and data hub in the 21st century.
Notes on the Facility
