Meet Shenandoah, a life insurance agent with a passion for helping others.

Born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia, Shenandoah is the oldest of five siblings. Her desire to assist others led her to pursue a degree in Social Work at Norfolk State University, where she had the opportunity to work with many amazing individuals and families.

Shenandoah’s father and two siblings were insurance agents, and she remembers her dad emphasizing the importance of life insurance. This inspired her to explore the field, and she found that it was a perfect fit for her as a stay-at-home and homeschooling mom. She enjoys the freedom and flexibility it provides, allowing her to educate individuals and families on the importance of leaving a legacy and generational wealth through life insurance.

PASSION

a personalized approach to finding the right policy

As an independent agent, Shenandoah differentiates herself from others in the industry by taking a personalized approach to finding the right policy for her clients. She completes a needs assessment by asking questions and listening to what the client desires in a policy, and then shops around with several carriers she is contracted with to provide the best options. Shenandoah is also able to offer many living benefits, such as policies that pay up to 100% of the face value while the policyholder is still alive.

One of Shenandoah’s most memorable experiences working with a client was when she was able to help an individual obtain a policy for their dad who was in a nursing home. After the client had been struggling to find coverage for months, Shenandoah was able to provide a guaranteed issue policy that protected her father. Seeing the client’s smile of relief was priceless.

Generational

In addition to her work as an insurance agent, Shenandoah enjoys making fresh juice, baking, and body butters, as well as traveling with her family. She also homeschools her two oldest children.
