In 2021, low-cost airline Breeze Airways came to Norfolk International Airport with flights to destinations around the eastern half of the country for as low as $39. Now, a year on, they’re expanding to popular destinations for prices that are slightly higher, but still eye-catching.
On Tuesday the budget airline announced that it’s adding flights from Norfolk to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Savannah, and Jacksonville. The new operations will begin before the end of the summer.
In researching ticket prices for the new destinations, we found round trip flights to LA for $301 (Jun 29-jul 21), and to Vegas for $258 (Aug 5- Sep 3). You can go to Savannah round trip for $104 (Jul 18-22), and Jacksonville for $106 (Jun 6-17).
The new additions will bring the total number of Breeze destinations from ORF to 13, and the airline says the additional flights are expected to create hundreds of new jobs in Norfolk. The expansion is just more good news for the airport of late. Norfolk Mayor Kenny Alexander said, “I think we’re going to hit another record over 3.9 million passengers traveling safe and affordable across the United States.”
