In Virginia Beach we regularly bump into visitors from some pretty far flung locations, and often hear tales of epic escapes from the distant wintry north. We thought we’d post a few drive times from different parts of the US and Canada to Town Center to get an idea of just how far some of our new friends have journeyed.
New York 6:15
Drive time from Midtown Manhattan is right at 6:15, going through the Eastern Shore (Delmarva Peninsula). A trip through the interior and past D.C. adds just thirty minutes.
Washington, D.C. 3:10
The trip to and from the nation’s capitol is a particularly enjoyable one for a lot of us here. At just over 3 hours it takes you past some great sites and leaves lots of time in the day for activities at The Beach.
Philadelphia 4:50
From City Hall to Town Center, the drive from the city of brotherly love is just under five hours via the Eastern Shore. Add thirty minutes to go past D.C. and Richmond.
Boston 9:30
From Boston’s City Hall it will take nine and a half hours to get to Town Center via the Eastern Shore, and ten hours flat to go past D.C. and Richmond.
Pittsburgh 6:50
It takes just six hours and fifty minutes to get to Town Center from the middle of Pittsburgh’s downtown.
Chicago 13:30
The trip from Chi-Town is a good day’s drive for two people at thirteen and a half hours from Grant Park to Town Center.
Toronto 11:20
From Toronto’s City Hall to Town Center the drive will take about eleven hours and twenty minutes.
Montreal 11:40
It’ll take you about eleven hours and forty minutes to get from the center of Montreal’s downtown to Town Center.
Detroit 10:50
A drive from Motor City to Town Center will take you about ten hours and fifty minutes.
Ottawa 11:30
A drive from the capitol of Canada to Town Center will take you eleven hours and thirty minutes.
Montreal 11:40
It’ll take you eleven hours and forty minutes to get from Montreal’s downtown to Town Center.
