The man himself, legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk, has announced that he’s coming to The Beach for our first ever Jackalope Festival.
The video announcement was played during the mayor’s annual State of the City address on the fifteenth of this month, with Hawk saying that he’ll take part in a “vert showdown” with some of his friends.
Tony Hawk is a household name in the skateboarding community, and his talent and charisma have earned him fans all around the world. He has been a dominant force in the sport for decades, winning countless competitions and inspiring a new generation of skateboarders. Hawk is also a philanthropist, and his Tony Hawk Foundation has helped to fund over 600 skate parks across the United States.
The Jackalope festival is known for its unique blend of extreme sports and music, and attendees can expect a wide range of competitions and events to take place.
Some of the most popular events at the festival include skateboarding and BMX competitions, with some of the best athletes from around the world showcasing their skills.
Attendees can also watch thrilling demonstrations of other extreme sports as well, like bouldering, skimboarding, slacklining and parkour.
In addition to the sports events, the festival also features live music performances by local and international artists, as well as food and drink vendors, art installations, and more.
The Jackalope Festival is free to the public and will take place June 2-4 at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.
